Experience of CBL Pro Teams:

– Krishnakumar Bajaj

TEAM AFFICIANADOS:

CBL is an in-house management competition organized by auctioning the students by the team owners. Each team has 3 owners who are from the final year. Currently, this is the 10th Season of CBL. It begins with the Ice- Breaker followed by CBL got talent, then the management rounds, Survivor and lastly the Finale.

ICE-BREAKER.

In this competition, the team gets to showcase each player’s identity by a dance performance bound by the rules of the round.

CBL GOT TALENT.

Not everyone is good in the business world and have interests and skills in other fields like singing, dance, standup comedy, writing etc. and we get a chance to showcase our talent and build our image in this event.

MANAGEMENT ROUNDS.

It begins easy with communication and picture interpretation rounds and then management rounds making it difficult day by day. Marketing, Finance, HR, Case Study, Crisis are the few areas of the management rounds. The assignments given in the rounds makes the player research about the topics they aren’t aware of which add on to their personal learning. To stress it up, the assignments are sometimes given midnight. Participation in these rounds takes out the best of an individual.

Now as and how the competition moves forward, there will be first set of eliminations and few players out of the eliminated teams will be re-bidden.

SURVIVOR

In this event, rounds will be conducted back to back for around 36 hours in which players will be playing in an individual race. Survivor tests our patience to a greater extent as stress level increases by every round passing. After the first set of eliminations we are supposed to work on the night assignments in the college. Now this isn’t easy as there will be deductions for a small nap too. Further the eliminations will continue and the winner will be decided at the end of 36 hours.

Learning as the captain of the team.

The most important thing I learnt is the qualities of a leader when I handled a team of 12 people.

  • I learnt that I need to understand the strong areas of my teammates and divide the assignment work accordingly.
  • Finding out what went wrong when the team didn’t perform well and talk to the team on how can we avoid those mistakes further.
  • I understood that we need to be ready for the bad times and motivate the team in that situation.
  • I must not just ask the team to do the assignments, they will never do it. I need to be a doer and then expect from my team.
  • Sharing the credit with everyone when the team performs good instead of individual player that does well.
  • I need to be a good listener and listen to all the players and then make a decision.
  • These lessons will help a person in his Business as an entrepreneur or in his corporate job where he has to handle a team and get the work done.

Learning As A Player

  • A small contribution from each player creates big results and vice versa. Therefore, keeping up to my commitments is very important.
  • I need to be active and share my thoughts and ideas so that the team has a lot of options to choose from.
  • Taking initiative and responsibility without waiting to be asked.
  • Prepared to listen and respect different point of views as again a good quality one should have.
  • Working positively with others, figuring out ways to overcome any differences.
  • I should be open to share my knowledge with others for the betterment of the team.

TEAM  BRAINIACS

Human heart an organ or I must say rather an indispensable organ of the which pumps blood throughout the body. But have you ever thought of a human without a heart? Not possible right? No, I’m not going to tell you about the human heart today, but I was just making a reference. Just like what a heart is for a human, CBL is for CBALC. CBL gives opportunity to each and every student to learn things in a very different way. I see that CBL has got more importance than any other thing in our college. It really shapes your life, it brings change. I have seen people from doing nothing to doing something. People who had never performed on stage earlier, had to compulsory perform in CBL. When it comes to communication I had never performed until and unless CBL happened or rather I would say CBALC.

Once the team is all set and done. The next thing is ice breaker and the most entertaining one that is dance. Every player has to perform  in the team. Well these two years what I experienced is first you need to crack the theme for icebreaker and yes it is really confusing .once that’s done you start with the practice, finding a place, getting players to practice on time, management , creating bond with the players, and yes owners sponsoring good food . And then comes the final day where you have to perform. My experience was pretty good apart from that I saw teams put in more efforts to get non dancers dance on the stage.

This year CBL had introduced a new round that is CBL GOT TALENT. Well unfortunately I couldn’t make it for it. But my team made a mark and they performed pretty well.

Survivor! Well now you might have an image in your mind after hearing survivor. In CBL the word almost gives that feeling. so last year survivor was conducted and we were fresh ones did not knew it. But one thing that I learnt is its all in your mind because when you hear you have play rounds for 48 hrs . exhausting right? Even I initially thought I wont be able to survive and that’s where I went wrong. The most strenuous part in survivor is the night assignments. That’s when the tables are turned.  We see tremendous change in the scores after the night assignments But yes I could play for max 40 hrs and then I got eliminated. Everyone strives hard to be in top 20 but yes I couldn’t make it till there.

There is no “I” in a Team , there is always a “we”.  I had this false notion earlier that team which has good players( as in, ones who go for fests) is the team which can make a mark. But I was wrong then, It does not matter, all you need is every player having the desire to make a change. Have you heard of synergy which means two heads are better than one.  Yes it perfectly implies for every team. Every player learns something or the other but apart from that what I have learnt is a bit of management. With every year you have different experience . Well in first year our focus was to play rounds fittingly, majorly it was focus on our performance which adds on to the Teams performance. But in second year more than playing rounds it is about responsibility. Initially everything was smooth but when this pandemic happened, things started to get tough. Getting players to work is a challenge. Before lockdown if any assignments given we use meet in someone house. But right now we are making use of zoom and getting the task done. Well we are still in the phase of experiencing and learning it virtually and I definitely feel CBL 10 is going to make a huge difference .Lastly its not about starting or ending its about maintaining.

TEAM CRUSADERS:

CBL AS A PLATFORM

“It’s not how you begin that matters; it’s how you finish.” An arena made for over 15 teams with over 200 players, toiling all year long, exploiting their strengths, challenging their limits and coming out as a version that’s better than their previous selves.

Every individual since the time of school to the time now learns and unlearns a lot of things, that could either be necessary, a skill or more importantly a baggage. This process of learning and unlearning helps an individual evolve. The more weight one carries through the journey the less confident he or she is through the path.

Me, as a kid who was always subject to a monotonous routine throughout my school days and the same continued in my Pre-University as well. Soon as I was done with my PU, and with commerce as my choice of subjects I could see a few limited options and out of that I chose BBA, and because my parents were told flamboyant things and were sung praises of this college. Like any other obedient kid, I obliged to their choices of enrolling myself in CBALC. I honestly didn’t realise I was set on a path which would eventually lead to me to discover my interests and passion.

Now, fast forward to my first bid in Team Aficionados. I wasn’t picked because I was the best in any particularity. I always considered myself average and always questioned myself, “What is that they saw in you mate?” The best part of this bid was that I was among those few people who were precise, my captain was a man who knew his things right. I picked that from him. I got pushed with the other players to the rounds, it was new, but exciting. Let me quote Eminem “On the stage, knees weak, palms sweaty, waiting for the words to come out already.” Now, I picked myself from here. I picked myself from CBL, the same arena, the same set of 15 teams battling for one title.

The best part of the round for me, was always the judges feedback session. I always used to sit with my ears wide open during that window of 5-10 mins where they poured out their knowledge of waterfall to help people like me. I always made it a point to make the most out of it to improve myself in the further rounds or events coming across.

CBL as a platform brought me out of my comfort zone, the same platform that pushed me to face my fears, the same platform that helped me discover my interests. It might have been the most stressful times of college, we saw ourselves waiting till it was sun down, we saw ourselves waiting eagerly waiting for results, we saw ourselves go to cloud nine and at times dejected too.

I’m now in my second year of BBA. I’m no more afraid of going to the stage and facing people. I’m no more afraid of making mistakes, because what CBL always taught me was, that we learn from the mistakes. I now run my own meme page, which was something I never imagined I would do. My creativity now knows no bounds, my soul is filled with confidence. I’m now ready to take on life with full vigour and this got me seeking for more.

There’s a saying “Don’t wait to strike when the iron is hot; but make it hot by striking.” I’m the iron that CBL struck every week to make me the confident man I am. That’s my take of whatever struck me.

TEAM DESTROYERS:

CBALC Business League, known as CBL is the best platform for an individual to showcase their talent, or improve on them self. No other college conducts an in-house fest throughout the semesters for their students. This teaches us to cope with our academics and the activities that take place as part of CBL. Through CBL, we have the opportunity to learn so much about. We also gain a lot of practical knowledge that may or may not help us academically, but definitely helps us learn something for the future.

I was privileged enough to represent our college in Management fests conducted by other colleges. At first, I was very nervous because I had never represented my educational institute. Participating in fests has taught me so much and has also helped improve on areas which I’ve been weak it. It has made me experience what it is to be away from home, to perform in front of a large unknown audience under pressure, the feeling of working earnestly to learn and win, and lastly, the joy of winning.

Never did I fathom that being part of CBALC would help me learn and improve myself to this extent. My learning experience has been pretty wonderful in the first year itself. I look forward to learning much more in this environment for the next two years.

TEAM EMINENT COMBATANTS:

CBALC BUSINESS LEAGUE, Platform where “Talent meets opportunity.” Aculmination of all the ideas and values followed by this esteemed institution and vision of our principal Dr. Prakash Kadakol. This league was started by sir 10 years ago, with a vision to provide the right platform to the students where they can “Draw a bigger line”, make an impact and stand out of the box in all the things they do, and for the practical application of theoretical knowledge. A platform where students face the corporate heat and get in touch with reality of outside world, it was started with an aim so that   students can express their thoughts and ideas and with a plan to evolve them as individuals. CBL not only gives individuals a platform but also breaks the TABOO “Don’t let small town mentality kill your creativity.”CBALC which emerges from a small city like Belagavi has broken all the odds and stood out to be one of the best management institutions in North Karnataka and on a mission to be one of the best in whole of Karnataka. CBALC has won 145 General Championships across Kerala, Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka making its presence and impact felt. CBL is the base for this massive success. CBL is like a Ranji Trophy match, you perform good here and you are selected for nationals (Representing college for Fests).

Handling the team as a captain poses it’s own challenges. In this phase you get know your leadership abilities.Captaincy is a matter of great honour, because of the trust that has been put into you by your seniors. Being a captain is the reflection of your hard work and determination. One thing that I have learnt being a captain is you need to be very humble and integrity should not be considered as a trait but as a habit in order for you to improve and perform. A good captain is not the one who takes pride in victory but the one who knows how to accept defeat and still hold the team firm. The most chilling and satisfactory moment for you as a captain is when you have to march wearing your team jersey with your flag flying high, that’s the feeling of pride you get when you become a captain. You know you have become the captain of your team on the basis of your ability, because at CBALC “Performance is reality.”

ALWAYS!!!!

As a player, few things that I learnt were team-spirit, coordination, gaining trust of your seniors who will soon become your owners and being that person on whom team can rely on in absence of captain and other players. As a player you know you are an important part of the team because every individual count’s, and your contribution always matters. What I learnt from my teammates and captain is the habit of initiation, which acts as a motivating factor to perform even better and inspire others to perform. This is what drives the spirit of being a good team player.

At it’s beginning, it was known as CBL till 2018. From 2018 this platform was separated into two parts, “CBL PROFESSSIONAL AND CBL BASIC.” Those students who don’t get an opportunity to play in “CBL PRO” still gets an opportunity to showcase their talents playing in “CBL BASIC” in which the teachers are the owners of the team and not the students. A wonderful initiative by the institution to provide chance to those people who for various reasons could not get into “CBL PRO”, here the 5th semester students are the owners of the team, giving an opportunity to them to still be associated with the team without playing, but acting as a guide to all the juniors. Both in “PRO AND BASIC” there are number of teams competing against each other for one trophy of CBL. A concept very similar to that of IPL, players from all kinds of fields, backgrounds, knowledge, specialization coming together under one platform battling for one tag of General Champions.

It is a journey of two semesters for one season of CBL, 1st and 3rd semester students are the players and 5th semester students are the owners. in that semester, CBL is marked by various events like the SURVIVOR AND CBL GOT TALENT. CBL GOT TALENT is a concept introduced in season 10 of CBL PRO where students can display their passion and hobbies as their talent, showcasing CBL is not only about curriculum but Talent.

Ultimately CBL teaches us the meaning of life, summed up in a simple sentence “Smile and do it or crib and do it” you have to do it.

TEAM FALCONS:

Learning from CBL

  • Trupti Gargad

What matters most when it comes to individual growth?

Learning

APJ Abdul Kalam once rightly quoted, “Learning gives creativity, creativity leads to thinking; thinking provides knowledge and knowledge makes you great.” CBL allows you to learn from experiences and peers, which will lead the way to creativity; thus, the process follows as a great personality said.

CBL is not a competition; rather, I understand it to be the door of opportunities to gain knowledge, which nourishes young minds to be a better version of themselves. Experiencing this platform for two years, I have witnessed my fellow peers transforming themselves into someone that they never imagined to be.

CBL, as a platform, is more about applying personality development lessons into action. It just connects you with the reality, the need that “success” craves for. The platform suffices all lessons that an individual requires to learn to become independent and contribute to the betterment of oneself and the society.

In these two years of experience, CBL has given me the confidence to kick start and face my fears. I went from conquering my stage fear to tackling the questions asked by the judge. It helped me gain self-confidence, which lacked previously in me.

The nervousness, before going on the stage, encouraged me to overcome my stage fear. The assignments obliged me to think differently and solve any problem. The observation round helped me concentrate more on details and made me realize that specifications play an important role. Picture interpretation rounds helped me look at things from a different perspective.

This platform developed enthusiasm, creativity, self-confidence, team spirit, and the sense of learning from any given task, which drove me to aim higher. It helped me explore the innate abilities that I could nourish and develop good habits that would help me grow as an individual.

The real challenge

Survivor is one such event that helps you awaken the fighter inside you. Fighting for your team individually for two days is what I call the real challenge. It seeks for resilience and sustainability all over the journey. It was challenging to stay awake the entire night and concentrate. However, all one can think during that moment is about sleep, in a state where one is sleep deprived, it becomes challenging to focus and play. Yet, nothing stopped us; I gave my 100% even when my body and mind were exhausted. I stretched beyond my limits; that’s when I realized nothing could prevent one from giving their best efforts only if they think they can’t.

On the other hand, I was curious to know my abilities and strengths, which would help me understand my weaknesses for me to work on it. I remember the struggle to stay awake and complete the assignments. There were sleepless nights and famishment; on the contrary, we were enthusiastic about performing the tasks.

I sustained for one and a half-day; I was proud of myself that I could contribute to my team, which indeed created a huge impact. Everybody who was a part of survivors worked hard with utmost dedication to win their teams, which created an environment for a fierce competition. They showcased their dedication and devotion towards their team. I reckon we all wanted to win for our teams, but learning was our priority.

As the journey began,” The Ice-breakers,” I would call this period as ” bonding days,” as this made our bonding stronger by each passing day. Some of our players were struggling to learn the choreography; we helped each other to learn steps straightforwardly; during those days, we laughed, played, and created memories. Those times taught me the most important lesson,” help each other in difficulties.”

The due date for our ice-breaker performance had arrived. There were ambiguous feelings of nervousness and excitement, and being part of the motivated team, though, with all our efforts, we stood on the thirteenth position out of eighteen teams. Here I realized” being finer is not adequate, being finest is essential! “

TEAM FDC:

Every year IPL breaks its own record of TRP. What a game!! We all know cricket is a ‘Gentleman’s game’ but do you know what’s a ‘professionals’ game’? It is CBL. CBL stands for CBALC Business League. CBL is where in the army of 1st and 2nd years resist and win the battle for the final year team owners.

CBL is a platform for the students to showcase their talent, capabilities, leadership qualities, knowledge, Coordination in a team, as a team player by playing management rounds such as Quiz, Marketing, Human Resource, Finance etc. These are rounds wherein the students perform and learn many new things which will help them to Identify their best skills and their interests which will give them the strength and understanding of leading the mysterious path of future. Because no one knows what it beholds, but we just know that it means anything and everything, just like that CBL is a box of the untold and unthought rounds with the utmost priority of development of every individual

FDC is not just a team but a group of people with lots of enthusiasm, confidence and bundle of joy. Every team is handled by a captain who teaches their team members many things which will help them to learn more and win. In our family FDC, we have a father who has great responsibility our captain. In a family what a father does works hard, fulfils our needs and gives us guidance our captain took the place of father where he took our family on his shoulders and did a great job, today where we stand is the fruit of his hard work

As a player I have learnt a lot of amazing and useful tactics from my team FDC.

I learnt to be flexible. As there was a time when I use to hide or step back from grabbing the opportunities but from my team of enthusiasts I learnt not to sit at the back and watch others perform and improve themselves but see the magic happening through my efforts by raising hand when it was time to perform and learn. I also learnt to be involved in the team when we need to prepare or perform a task. I also learnt to support and respect others opinions and ideas. Because when it is the 100% of one individual, no doubt it is 100% but when the same is of 5 people, it leads to 500%

Struggle is required in order to survive. We are the survivors and CBL trophy is our reward. Every player in our team has done an excellent job, worked hard, gave their 100% to compete at the best potential till now.

My first day with my team was when icebreaker was announced and we gathered to discuss the songs which suit each one of us and started practicing. During the discussion, somewhere in my mind I was thinking about a lot of things, many questions were popping up in my mind. After some time, we started talking, discussed songs for ourselves and started with the practice the next day. The practice session was amazing. We saw each other’s funny steps, all craziness came out and we had a lots of fun, which is the most loveable thing about our team, it is easygoing but always going attitude, and finally we were prepared with the dance. The performance day arrived and it was the first task of us, as a team, we did it very well and most importantly we enjoyed each moment of that day, and collected bundle of memories in just one day.

A big thanks to our owners who stood by us as the backbone of team FDC. Thanks for their all-time motivation and support in good as well as or bad performances.

My team is my family. A family I would always stand for and by for my entire life here, as life is about how you survive in the toughest situation ,Our journey towards the trophy was part of life to be the strongest among the 18 teams and we had to survive, so that our team doest not get eliminated, and here we are, standing strong, still very very strong,  for which each one from the team has given his/her 100.

I will always remember the memories we had as a team forever.

TEAM-FIERY FIGHTERS

– Anusha Kalkutkar

CBL (CBALC Business League) is one of a kind that lasts for one year but gives memories for a lifetime. A league, full of twists and turns that drive cbalcites crazy and make them go to any lengths to win the championship. A lot of teams participate in it and try their best from the start to win it. Each team consists of owners from the 3rd year and players from 1st and 2nd year. In this journey to win the title, the teams turn into families that share all the ups and downs.

CBL as a platform-

In life people get very few opportunities to show what they are good at but CBALC has given us a lot of opportunities to showcase our talents in the name of CBL. It’s a league that tests our abilities and makes us aware of our potential. It’s a platform for many students to develop themselves in all aspects. It makes the students confident and provides them with knowledge about business. It has changed the lives of hundreds of students. It is a platform that has helped many students fight with their fears and made them a confident person from a shy person. And all I can say is I’m one of those students.

Different kinds of rounds are conducted in it like marketing, finance, human resource, quiz, etc where students can learn new things every day. Here if we make any mistake by chance then there are judges who tell us our mistakes politely and correct it. With every mistake we lose marks and learn a lesson not to repeat them once again. This process helps us evolve as a person. It’s a platform where the talent of students is recognized and they are given the chance to represent the college in fests. This league makes us ready for the corporate world. The rounds help us generate new ideas and take proper decisions in less time. By playing different rounds we also realize in which field we are good at and can give more importance to it. We can also work on the areas that we are not good which can help us in the future.

  • Learning from CBL

CBL teaches us a very important lesson that is how to work in a team as this league is all about teamwork. As a team member I have learnt how to respect others and even their point of views. As I mentioned before the team members become a family and understand each other perfectly. We cheer up each other when we are sad and help each other when in need. All this could have never happened if there was no teamwork. I have learnt one more lesson that is it’s ok to not be perfect in everything. As a human being I am good at some things and not good at other things. I have faced difficulty while playing some rounds which made me think that we can’t be perfect every time and it’s ok to fail sometimes as there is always room for improvement.

At last CBL has taught us how to face every situation in life confidently without any fear of losing. It has always taught us to give our best in whatever we do. In this journey of CBL I have learnt how to face failures sportively and work hard to accomplish my goals and succeed.

TEAM MIGHTY AVENGERS:

This being the 10th season of CBL, it has been proved with time and year by year that it has been a life changing platform for many cbalcities, especially for the ones who individually couldn’t present or communicate during the classes but have played for their team during the CBL rounds. Here the learning is only not limited towards one topic, it includes the three pillars of business which are marketing, finance and human resource as well as team events.

The most important thing which I also have personally realized is that is has made my leaning better, enhance my communication skills and importance of team bonding. CBL has been proven to be the ticket to prosperity.

  • Learning from CBL as a player for my team

It has been a great experience for me so far to have such a great bond with my teammates this year. This has been the most unique season in the CBL history so far, as there have been online rounds on skype, online assignment submissions and making of video staying at home which has enhanced our bond as a team.

I have had a good experience even during last year’s CBL, but both the experiences have been completely different for me and have different impact on my learnings. CBL has a different kind of an aura which leaves the impact on the player positively in a long run and the best example for it being CBL basic where before the players where were disappointed for not being able to play [the non-selected ones] and later learning and emerging higher under the guidance of the faculty.

  • Survivor

There has been no survivor this year due to the present circumstances but the experience last year has been a great one for me, it was something which was a very different and new experience for me. It had begun at the 9 in the morning and was a continuous round till the evening and elimination’s took place and then we had night assignments which was till 5 in the

morning after which we were given a short break and then were the physical rounds. My journey was only till there and it was a great one with great learning experience.

  • CBL’s got Talent

This was conducted for the first time in the history of CBL, that is during the 10th season of the CBL, this round was the proof that CBL is not only limited to the pillars of business but also is a place where a student can showcase his or her talent through acting, painting, singing or any other talent which makes them different and unique from others.

It was a great time for our team as well because the way we helped each other with our performance’s, it created even a better impact as a team performance.

  • Team experience of preparing for the Ice-Breaker

Ice-Breaker is the first performance that we as team perform and present ourselves as a team to other’s in the form of a dance. Rehearsal’s for Icebreaker were fun, understanding and knowing each other also helping each other with the steps.

And especially during the performance day for being there for each other and understanding the nervousness for the situation. The beginning was a great experience. We captured as well as made memories during Icebreaker.

  • RIDISHA

TEAM PARADIGM PANTHERS:

A. Cbalc Business League is as a platform which gives an individual lots of opportunities to learn new skills, sharpen their skills, explore oneself into the management field, helps an individual in his/her personal growth(self development), it is a great platform for CBALC students to showcase their business creativity, managing abilities and overall to be prepared for the immense future that lies ahead. In short CBL makes an individual, a person that can stand out in a crowd of many professionals.

B. Learning from being the Captain of Team Paradigm Panthers, Initially all seemed good but later as the competition grew it started being difficult for me to handle things as there are players in the team from different background and have a different perspective towards things, I had understand all the players and take them along, so that we as a team perform well. During this process, I have learnt patience, tolerance, man management, empathy, separating personal and professional, handling responsibilities and pressure and this helped me be a good leader. Being a Captain is the best role you can take on because it teaches you how to be a mentor, a team player and how to lead others and help them improve. It is a tough role you have to stress the needs of the team over personal preferences, balance personalities and keep players inspired in a period of low performance. Being able to be a person players come to when the have an idea or something they want to improve is to me,the best part of being a captain.

C. Learning from being as a player of Team Paradigm Panthers was really a good experience, there where many ups and downs we faced as a team but we made sure that we overcome the problems we faced and celebrate the joy and the small victories. Being a part of Team Paradigm Panthers , I have learnt to show genuine commitment, accept criticism, be flexible as we had to perform all the task as a team, a good listener, always ready to help, recognize when I am wrong and most important being reliable and responsible.

Performing survivor was a great achievement for me even though, I could not make it to the finals, as survivor thought me to be patient, calm and gave me the strength to work continuously and not to give up. Apart from management the management skills survivor has helped me improve on my interpersonal skills and

made me realise the importance of interpersonal skills, as we had to stay back in the college to perform survivor with our fellow players. Staying with them and performing made me know the perspective of others, how they work, their way of working and many other qualities, which made me think of my qualities, the areas of improvement and the qualities,I need to sharpen and through this process in help me work and improve on my interpersonal skills

E. CBL Got Talent was the best platform we got to show case our talents and work on them. While preparing for the CBL Got Talent, our team was having a discussion regarding who will be performing and what they will be performing ,during the discussion few players said that they were getting a chance to show case their talent after a really long time, they said they were enjoying the process of preparing and working on their talent again which they had forgotten after their school time due to the busy schedule they had. We as a team enjoyed the process and this helped us make good bonds with the team players as the interest of few players matched and we helped each other for their performance.

F. Team experience for preparing for Icebreaker and while performing the Icebreaker was  really a great experience, as initially we faced lot of problems as there were many non dancers in our team but we as a team made sure that we help each other learn and motivate the team that we could perform and give our best. This made our bonds even more stronger and helped Paradigm Panthers to give their 100% and perform on the day of icebreaker. Even though we were on the last position, we did not break it made us even more stronger as a team and gave us the strength to accept the fact and from then we as a team took preparation even more serious and give our 200%.

TEAM TITANS:

A Small Change Makes a Huge Difference

  • By: Summaiyakhanum jamadar

I believe that small challenges prepare us for Big things and these small things bring a lot of changes within us. The same way Cbl is one of the things for me.

In simple words, Cbl is an activity which involves management rounds, team activities, cultural activities such as cbl has got talent, icebreaker etc.

CBALC has never failed to spread knowledge with the help of CBL. It has been continuously doing from 10 years, with the help of different rounds designed by the experienced faculty of CBALC. I was not at all familiar with any aspects of management, current market, print ads, but as soon as CBL started it made me realise even I can do better and then changed my mindset to a growth mindset.

It gave me the opportunity for self-improvement, also gave a chance to express my ideas which have helped me to enhance communication skills, presentation skill and made me feel more confident about myself and this allowed me to explore. I being a non-fest student and for many students like me, Cbl has given every student the experience of the fest.

CBL helped me to gain the confidence which I never had, I had always criticised myself and doubted my abilities but the small appreciation boosted my confidence and it helped me to transform from what I was to what I am today. I am always grateful for what CBL has taught me.

Now talking about team experience there were 17 teams and I am part of Titans. There were the players with whom I never had any conversation but now I know everyone and everyone knows me, I interact with them, help each other with the assignment and then these things help us to qualify in the eliminations and a great time.

Initially, It wasn’t that easy to cope up. Morning class and afternoon Cbl made me feel stressed but, in everything, we can find good things. The same unknowingly Cbl thought me to deal with stress and be patient, how to perform a task in stress.

The best thing about Cbl it also thought me deal with disappointments, failures. I want to perform best many time I had performed below my expectations but then I realised it’s part of the game to lose and learn and improve.

I was a kind of an introvert, and I have never expressed myself to anyone and CBL has removed the barriers and taught me how to work in a team which consists of players from various different backgrounds. It was always a great time to work with the team. Representing my team was always a great task to that and I have never regretted it. It was all possible for me to grow, only because of CBL and now I am confident enough to present myself.

Even I realised that Change is not an overnight journey it takes time, endless efforts.

Conclusion – Transformation takes place when you’re willing to learn new things and proper guidance is needed which I have got from CBL.
